India Highlights Health, Education Initiatives in Palestine During PDG Talks

During the Brussels‑based Palestine Donor Group’s second ministerial meeting, India spotlighted its contributions to health, education and capacity‑building sectors in the Palestinian territories. Secretary Sripriya Ranganathan emphasized that India has long been a dependable ally, consistently voting in favor of Palestinian positions at the United Nations.

Current Indian‑supported programmes include the deployment of medical equipment to clinics, training of health workers, and the rollout of school construction projects in underserved areas. Vocational training centres are being set up to improve employment prospects for young Palestinians, while women’s empowerment initiatives aim to increase participation in the labour market.

The conference, jointly organized by the European Commission and the Palestinian Authority, gathered EU nations, Palestinian representatives and major international partners. India also reaffirmed its backing of Palestine’s pursuit of full UN membership, underscoring the importance of integrating humanitarian aid with long‑term development strategies.
