India's Foreign Secretary Set for Nepal Visit on Nov 4-5

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will visit Nepal from November 4 to 5, the Ministry of External Affairs has announced. The visit comes at a time when India and Nepal continue to build on a strong and friendly relationship.

The two-day visit is part of a regular practice of high-level exchanges between the two countries. During the visit, Misri will discuss bilateral, regional and global issues of shared interest.

The ministry said it hopes the visit will support the broader bilateral partnership between India and Nepal. It also expects the trip to uncover new opportunities for cooperation across different sectors.

Misri is presently in the United Arab Emirates on an official visit. On Monday, he met Reem Al Hashimy, who serves as Minister of State and Special Envoy for India in the UAE. The meeting reviewed the full scope of India-UAE relations and explored ways to deepen their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The two sides also exchanged perspectives on developments in West Asia and global matters of mutual concern. According to the Indian Embassy in the UAE, the discussions covered all aspects of the relationship.

Earlier, Indian Ambassador Deepak Mittal extended a welcome to Misri upon his arrival in the UAE.
