New vision document sets India’s drug‑control priorities for 2026‑2029

Home Minister Nityanand Rai informed the Lok Sabha that the NCB has launched a comprehensive "Narcotics Control Vision Document (2026‑2029)" that defines priorities and time‑bound goals for the next three years. The plan calls for full‑government and societal participation to combat illegal drug trafficking and abuse. To support this, the bureau has created a four‑level NCORD portal that serves as a unified platform for training, capacity building, offender data, legal resources and best practices from states.
