Diplomats Highlight India’s Strategic Partnerships on 80th Independence Day

During Independence Day ceremonies, Indian diplomats used the platform to underline the country's expanding strategic collaborations. In Mauritius, High Commissioner Anurag Srivastav spoke about a new strategic partnership, a special economic package for the island nation and progress in bilateral relations. He urged young overseas Indians to leverage programs such as the OCI card, the Kishore India Programme, youth exchange schemes, ITEC training slots and scholarships. Similar messages were echoed in Belarus, where Ambassador Ashok Kumar raised the flag following a collective rendition of Vande Mataram, and in Tanzania, where High Commissioner Bishwapriya Day hoisted the tricolor before a crowd of more than 600 Indian friends.
