India calls Pakistani elections in occupied Kashmir a façade

India also condemned the assembly elections being held by Pakistan in the occupied Jammu‑and‑Kashmir region. New Delhi described the vote as a staged exercise intended to conceal Pakistan’s illegal occupation and to distract from grave human‑rights violations in the area. The ministry reiterated that the entire Union Territories of Jammu‑and‑Kashmir and Ladakh, including the contested parts, remain integral to India.
