India Announces $175 Million Aid Package Including Hospital and Training Institute for Palestine

India has pledged a total assistance package of approximately $175 million to support the Palestinian people. The aid encompasses development projects, humanitarian relief, and the construction of key institutions such as the Palestinian Institute of Diplomacy.

In a donor meeting held in Brussels earlier this month, India committed to fund the establishment of a specialty hospital, an artificial limb fitting centre, and a vocational training institute in the occupied territories. These facilities are intended to address critical healthcare needs, provide prosthetic services for those injured in the conflict, and equip youths with marketable skills for future employment.

Harish highlighted that these contributions reflect India’s long‑standing solidarity with Palestine and its resolve to improve the daily lives of Palestinians through tangible, on‑the‑ground projects. He noted that while humanitarian aid alleviates immediate suffering, the development of health and education infrastructure lays the groundwork for a more stable and prosperous society.

The aid package also supports the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which delivers essential services to Palestinian refugees. India’s financial involvement underscores its role as a dependable partner in the international effort to sustain Palestine’s socio‑economic development.
