Imran Khan’s sisters detained, family petitions Lahore court for release

Three sisters of opposition leader Imran Khan – Alima Khan, Noreen Nazaji and Uzma Khan – were taken into custody under a 30‑day maintenance‑of‑public‑order order issued by a Lahore deputy commissioner. Their brother, Shahrāj Khan, filed a petition in the Lahore High Court demanding immediate release, arguing that the detention was illegal and that his mother and sisters were not involved in any public assembly that could jeopardise security. The family contends that the police seized the women without informing them of any charges and that the move is part of a broader crackdown on PTI members ahead of the scheduled long march.
