IDF Claims Destruction of 135 Hezbollah Sites in Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces announced that precision strikes neutralized 135 Hezbollah facilities in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region. Ten launch sites believed to be preparing attacks on northern Israel were eliminated, alongside a training camp and fifteen additional infrastructure points near Tyre. An alleged Hezbollah cell operating from one of the launch bases was also targeted. Local footage showed dense smoke over a building in Choueifat, where Hezbollah missile unit commander Ali al-Husseini was reportedly present. The operation follows an earlier 6 May raid on Beirut’s southern suburbs. Lebanon’s state news agency reported new Israeli ground incursions into villages such as Shakra, Ramadiyeh, and Kalaile, where troops carried out searches. The renewed fighting threatens to unravel the existing ceasefire and deepen instability along the border.
