Humanitarian Access and Funding Needed to Contain Congo Ebola Outbreak

Tom Fletcher, the UN's top humanitarian coordinator, appealed for unrestricted humanitarian access to the Ebola‑affected zones of the Democratic Republic of Congo. He stressed that aid workers, medical supplies, and protective equipment must reach patients without delay, and that border crossings and supply routes remain open.
