Human rights groups urged to investigate Pakistani air attack on Surab

A protest organized by the Baluch National Movement in Amsterdam on August 21 condemned the Pakistani Air Force’s bombing of Surab district, which left more than thirty civilians dead. The gathering emphasized that the strike on the Gidar residential zone on August 12 constitutes a "serious humanitarian disaster."

BNM representatives called on the United Nations, the European Union and international human‑rights organisations to launch a transparent, impartial probe into the bombing. They warned that the silence of the global community is enabling further abuses in Balochistan, where basic rights are rapidly deteriorating.

The protest also appealed to European leaders to bring the issue before diplomatic forums, to demand accountability from Pakistan and to support the families of the victims. Organisers reaffirmed their commitment to raise awareness throughout Europe and to press for the protection of civilians in Balochistan.
