Human rights group decries drone attack on Khuzdar as state‑backed violence
Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) has labeled the recent drone strike in Khuzdar district as "state‑sponsored brutality" after the attack claimed four lives and seriously wounded a fifth civilian. The strike occurred in the Mula Manjalo locality, an area that has previously experienced ground and aerial operations by Pakistani security forces.
BVJ's statement emphasized that targeting homes with unmanned aerial vehicles violates international humanitarian law and endangers innocent residents. The group cited earlier incidents in the Mula and Zahri zones where alleged drone assaults resulted in civilian fatalities, indicating a disturbing trend.
The organization called on international human‑rights agencies to take immediate notice, conduct a transparent inquiry, and help deliver justice to the victims and their families.
