Human Rights Advocates Decry Pakistan’s Crackdown on PTI Supporters

Human‑rights lawyers Imran Janb Mazari‑Hazir and Hadi Ali Chutta have themselves faced re‑arrest, while senior Balochistan Youth Committee leaders Mahrang Baloch and Gulzaadi Baloch received life sentences. The Aurat March linked these cases to the ongoing suppression of dissent in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Pakistan‑occupied Kashmir, describing them as part of a sweeping state‑sanctioned campaign against those challenging the official narrative. The organisation reiterated that every Pakistani, irrespective of political ideology, has the constitutional right to peaceful protest and to present demands before the government.
