Houthi claims extensive missile and drone attacks on Saudi energy sites

The Houthi movement announced a coordinated assault involving ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles aimed at several Saudi energy assets. Targets cited included the Aramco facilities in Abha, Najran, Jizan, and the King Khalid Air Base close to Khamis Mushait.

The statement, delivered by spokesperson Yahya Sariyah, highlighted that the attacks were part of a broader effort to strike deep within Saudi territory. Saudi authorities confirmed that the strikes caused fires at some energy installations, prompting temporary shutdowns and resulting in injuries to 73 civilians, among them women and children.

The coalition, which supports Yemen's internationally recognized government, condemned the Houthi actions as a dangerous escalation and pledged further military steps to counter the threat.
