Hindu Organizations Urge Vigilance as Hate Crimes Rise in America

Hindu advocacy groups have called on law‑enforcement agencies to strengthen security at temples after a recent spate of hate‑based crimes. Data from federal investigations show that anti-Hindu offenses rose to 32 incidents last year, compared with 25 reported so far in 2024. The organisations warned that hostility toward Hindus is no longer confined to online rhetoric but can manifest in real‑world threats against places of worship and community members. They appealed to elected officials and police departments to treat these risks seriously, enhance protective measures, and unequivocally condemn Hinduophobia.
