High‑Level Diplomatic Visit Aims to Deepen Multi‑Dimensional Partnership

Jaishankar’s two‑day trip to Bhutan is part of a regular pattern of high‑level exchanges between New Delhi and Thimphu. The meeting with Foreign Minister Lyonpo D.N. Dhungyel reinforced India’s commitment to a robust, multi‑faceted partnership covering development assistance, energy security, trade facilitation, transport links, cultural ties and people‑to‑people interaction. The Indian minister thanked the Bhutanese side for the gracious reception at the spiritual hub of Bumthang and reiterated that the relationship is built on mutual respect, shared values and a common vision for regional stability.
