Goyal to Meet US Trade Representative Ahead of G20 Ministerial in Milwaukee

At the G20 trade ministers’ gathering, Commerce Minister Goyal is scheduled to meet U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai. Both sides have expressed willingness to move forward with an interim agreement consistent with the February 2026 joint communiqué.

The meeting will also cover broader trade policy themes, reaffirming India’s support for a WTO‑based, rules‑based system and emphasizing policy flexibility for developing nations.
