The Haryana government has once again shown kindness on Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh (Gurmeet Ram Rahim), the head of Dera Sacha Sauda and the rape case. He has come out of jail on 21 days of furls. Ram Rahim was sent to the dera headquarters in Sirsa amidst tight security from Sunaria Jail. The police force has been deployed everywhere as soon as his release was reported. There is an atmosphere of happiness among her followers, and Honeypreet herself had reached her to take her. This time he will remain in Sirsa Dera.
Gurmeet Ram Rahim is currently facing punishment in rape and murder cases. The Haryana government has given him a discount in release before, and has always raised questions about his release before important elections. Recently, Ram Rahim came out on a 30 -day parole before the Delhi elections, which is the 13th incident of his coming out of jail in the last four years. He was sentenced to 20 years in the case of rape of two disciples in August 2017, after which he was given 30 days parole on January 28.
During this period, he was first stayed in his camp in Sirsa for 10 days. Subsequently, he lived in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Ram Rahim was earlier awarded parole of 20 days, which was released four days before the election in Haryana on 5 October last year.
A petition was submitted to the Supreme Court against Ram Rahim’s frequent release from jail. However, the Supreme Court refused to hear the case. This petition was filed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, in which objection was raised by the Haryana government’s decision to give parole to Ram Rahim.
A bench of Supreme Court Justice BR Gavai and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra clarified that the petition is against only one person rather than raising the issue of widespread public interest. It is noteworthy that SGPC had also resorted to the Punjab and Haryana High Court earlier.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has alleged that the Haryana government is misusing its powers under Section 11 of the Haryana Good Conduct Principal (Temporary Relations) Act, 2022 while providing temporary release to Ram Rahim. The SGPC counsel also said that the authorities gave parole or furlo several times between 2022 and 2024.
Ram Rahim is lodged in Sunaria jail
Ram Rahim is currently incarcted in Sunaria Jail with high security of Rohtak, 250 km from Chandigarh. Earlier, the High Court had rejected parole petition to participate in the wedding ceremony of Ram Rahim’s adopted daughters.

Ram Rahim was sentenced to 20 years in the case of rape of two women in August 2017. Subsequently, in 2019, a special CBI court of Panchkula sentenced him and three other accused to life imprisonment for the murder of a journalist 16 years ago.
