After more than half a million people took to the streets on Saturday, French authorities reported 2,397 arrests and nearly 1,000 injured police and security personnel. Among the wounded, seven were listed in serious condition.

President Macron responded by announcing an emergency crisis‑management session scheduled for Monday, to be led by Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu. The meeting aims to coordinate rapid assistance for police officers, local officials and shopkeepers who were targeted during the clashes.

Macron also indicated that the government will review the country's intelligence framework and pre‑emptive response strategies, drawing lessons from the recent events to safeguard public order in the future.
