GOF S4 group launched to safeguard commercial shipping from regional assaults

The Group of Friends on Safety and Security of Shipping and Seafarers (GOF S4) was established to place the protection of commercial shipping and seafarer rights at the center of global discourse. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the group will foster stronger collaboration among stakeholders to prevent repeat incidents in high‑risk waters.

In its first official statement, the coalition condemned the recent attacks in the Gulf and Black Sea, describing them as unacceptable actions that jeopardize peace, stability, and the free flow of maritime trade.
