Global Sikhs Deploy Four Specialized Teams to Aid Flood‑Stricken Communities

KATHMANDU – Global Sikhs, an international relief outfit with roughly fifteen years of experience, has mobilised four separate teams to address the emergency caused by Nepal’s recent flash floods.

The first team focuses on search and rescue, navigating swollen rivers and debris to extract trapped residents. The second team conducts rapid assessments, gathering data on damage to homes, infrastructure, and agricultural lands.

A third unit is responsible for shelter logistics, converting empty structures into functional camps that now house dozens of displaced families. The fourth group works alongside a local volunteer network to establish a larger camp for those who have lost all possessions.

According to the British consul involved in the operation, each affected person has at least one missing family member, prompting the teams to provide not only food and water but also coordinated support for family reunification efforts.

The next phase will see a helicopter, procured by Global Sikhs, fly into a region where an Indian national remains unaccounted for. While the consul was prepared to join, his British passport barred him from the flight.

He commended Global Sikhs for its professional framework, noting that his own background in army logistics meshes well with the organization’s efficient supply chains. Additional resources such as tents, sanitation kits, and clean‑water stations are slated for delivery throughout the coming week.
