Pakistan Frontier Corps Linked to Majority of Balochistan Abductions

The investigative report placed the Pakistan Frontier Corps at the center of 53 of the total violent incidents documented in Balochistan for June. Unknown actors were cited in 14 cases, while state-backed death squads and the CTD each appeared in five incidents. The council observed that the most common method of forced disappearance was home raids, accounting for 27 cases or 42.86 percent of the total. Another 20 cases involved detainees who vanished after being taken into custody, and 10 individuals disappeared during active military operations.
