Fourth batch of rescue equipment leaves China for Nepal

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China confirmed that a fourth batch of rescue and emergency equipment has been dispatched to Nepal. The load includes all‑terrain vehicles for rescue teams, portable generators for lighting, and specialized kits for handling the remains of victims.

The shipment is part of a coordinated effort that began after a series of landslides and floods struck Nepal’s western and central regions. Chinese diplomats said the aid will be delivered to the central disaster coordination center in Kathmandu and then routed to the hardest‑hit provinces.

Chinese NGOs are also on the ground. The China Rural Development Foundation has erected temporary shelters, supplied clean water, and provided basic medical services to displaced families. Meanwhile, the Nepal‑China Business Association has handed over the first tranche of a disaster relief fund to support reconstruction.

The spokesperson reiterated China’s commitment to stand by Nepal during this crisis, highlighting the importance of bilateral cooperation in overcoming the challenges posed by the natural disaster.
