Foreign Ministry urges immediate halt to maritime assaults in Gulf

India's Foreign Ministry has called for an urgent stop to the wave of attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Hormuz Strait. It reiterated that international law guarantees the freedom of navigation and uninterrupted trade through global sea lanes. The Ministry warned that continued aggression could further destabilise an already tense region and impact worldwide shipping.
