Foreign‑Invested Enterprises in China Grow 5.3% in H1 2026

Vice‑Minister of Commerce Yan Dong reported that newly established foreign‑invested enterprises in China rose by 5.3 percent year‑on‑year in the first six months of 2026, attracting roughly 402.14 billion yuan of investment. The investment mix has been refined, with high‑technology sectors seeing a 33.2 percent jump, now representing 42.4 percent of total foreign capital.
Around 4,800 overseas companies expanded their Chinese presence during this period, signalling continued confidence in the market despite global uncertainties.
