First Traditional Hindu Temple in France Showcases Indian Craftsmanship

Built on the Espalier des Religions et des Cultures, the temple is France’s first conventional Hindu shrine. Its architecture follows centuries‑old Indian stone‑carving traditions. Stones were hewn in India, shipped to France and assembled by Indian artisans together with French specialists. The foundation stone was laid in September 2022, and the main structural phase began in June 2024, marking a milestone in cross‑cultural collaboration.
