First Cross‑Border Incubation Hub Planned in Kathmandu

The IN‑SPAN Center of Excellence has unveiled ambitious plans to establish Kathmandu’s first flagship cross‑border incubation hub. The facility will be equipped to nurture twenty‑five startups annually, offering seed funding, mentorship and access to Indian technology partners.

In addition to the incubator, the centre will launch a comprehensive founder‑training programme targeting five hundred Nepali entrepreneurs each year, covering topics such as AI, semiconductor design and solar energy solutions.

Monthly town‑hall sessions will connect Nepali founders with Indian industry veterans, while a dedicated startup helpline will deliver real‑time assistance on regulatory, technical and market‑entry challenges.

The bi‑annual Startup Dialogue Conclave will serve as a platform for investors, incubators and policy makers from both nations to forge joint ventures and co‑investment opportunities.

The centre’s inaugural public event – a Startup Town Hall hosted at the Indian Embassy – is scheduled for the final week of July, signalling the start of a new era of bilateral startup collaboration.
