Finglu Canal Wins International Green Design Awards

The second major agenda item showcased the newly inaugurated Finglu Canal, a 134.2‑kilometre inland waterway opened on 16 September 2024. Designed to meet Class‑1 inland waterway standards, it can accommodate vessels up to 5,000 tonnes, setting a benchmark for China's inland routes. During the conference, the World Green Design Organization honoured the project with both an International Green Design Award and a Contribution Award, recognizing its role in the western land‑sea corridor and its eco‑friendly engineering.
