Financial Governance Reforms Highlighted at Beijing Party-Building Conference

Beijing, July 3 – The Party’s central financial work body convened a conference on July 2‑3 to advance the integration of party construction into China’s financial institutions.

Li Feng, a member of the Politburo and secretary of the Central Financial Work Commission, opened the session by urging officials to study Xi Jinping’s remarks on the Party’s centennial celebrations. He framed these teachings as a vital political mission for the financial sector.

According to Li, a reinforced party presence must be matched with systematic upgrades to management and supervision. He called for a decisive push to complete key fiscal responsibilities during the latter half of the year.

He added that delivering on these objectives is essential for meeting the nation’s economic growth target and for providing the solid financial backing required to kick‑start the 15th Five‑Year Plan.
