Final Rites for Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei to Span Tehran, Karbala and Mashhad

The body of Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei will lie in state at the Grand Imam Khomeini Mosque for public viewing until Monday. After a solemn farewell in Tehran, the procession will travel to the holy city of Karbala in Iraq and then to Najaf before reaching Mashhad, where the final burial will take place on July 9. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has urged citizens to participate in the ceremonies with dignity and enthusiasm, promising that the collective presence will showcase national unity and devotion to Islamic values.
