Escalating Cross‑Border Strikes Threaten Regional Stability, Experts Warn

Over the past five months, Pakistan has carried out more than ten aerial operations across various Afghan provinces, according to local monitoring groups. The bombings have claimed the lives of over 800 civilians and injured countless others, striking not only residential neighborhoods but also hospitals, schools and universities.

Provinces such as Khost, Paktia, Paktika, Kunar, Kabul, Nangarhar and Kandahar have borne the brunt of these attacks. The civilian toll has sparked outrage among Afghan NGOs, which stress that the humanitarian impact is worsening an already fragile situation.
