EFTA summit reviews first year of India deal, looks to new opportunities

The second India‑EFTA Prosperity Summit serves as a checkpoint for the commitments made under the trade‑investment pact. Organized jointly by Indian authorities and EFTA, the event will assess the outcomes of the first anniversary of the agreement.

More than 200 companies from EFTA member states are participating, seeking to gauge the post‑implementation business environment and pinpoint fresh avenues for trade and investment. Officials from both sides emphasized that a favourable policy and regulatory framework is essential for attracting capital.

India continues to work on creating a conducive climate for foreign investors, while EFTA nations are promoting their businesses to take advantage of the new market access granted by the agreement.
