Education ‘Revolution’ Highlighted at 15th National Teachers Meeting

During the 15th National Teachers Conference, Kim Jong-un framed the recent transformation of North Korea’s education sector as a revolution. He pointed to sweeping changes in teaching content, assessment methods, and the overall academic atmosphere, describing them as a radical break from past practices.

Prime Minister Pak Thae‑song reviewed seven years of progress, acknowledging both achievements and persistent gaps. He called for renewed focus on eliminating shortcomings and narrowing the urban‑rural education divide, a priority reiterated at the Workers’ Party’s ninth Congress earlier this year.
