Separate drone attack sparks fire at Noginsk oil depot, two injured

A distinct drone incident on Saturday resulted in a fire at an oil depot in the city of Noginsk, located in the Moscow region. The impact of falling drone debris ignited the storage tanks that hold petrol, diesel and kerosene. Two workers were hurt in the explosion, and authorities cleared a nearby maternity hospital as a precaution.

The depot houses 24 storage tanks with a total capacity of about 11,500 cubic metres of petroleum products. While the exact extent of damage remains undisclosed, the fire was quickly contained by emergency crews.

Moscow region Governor Andrei Vorobyov confirmed the incident and emphasized that safety measures are being taken to prevent further hazards.
