New Draft Programme Aims to Boost Bilateral Judicial Projects Over Next Two Years

As part of the follow‑up to the BRICS judicial gathering, Russia handed over a draft programme covering the next 24 months of India‑Russia judicial cooperation. The document proposes joint workshops on criminal law harmonisation, staff exchanges between supreme courts, and collaborative research on sustainable development through legal mechanisms.

The programme also earmarks resources for pilot projects that will test AI‑driven case management tools in both jurisdictions. Indian officials welcomed the proposal, noting that it aligns with ongoing reforms aimed at modernising the judiciary and enhancing access to justice.
