Delhi’s BRICS summit agenda to include trade, sustainability and regional cooperation

The 18th BRICS summit, set for 12‑13 September in New Delhi, will be framed around the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.” Organizers say the programme will focus on deepening trade links, fostering innovation and advancing sustainable development goals.

Participating leaders are expected to exchange views on how to enhance economic resilience amid global uncertainties, promote clean‑energy initiatives and support inclusive growth across the member states.

India, holding the chairmanship this year, hopes the summit will project a people‑first approach, echoing the vision articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 2025 Rio meeting.
