Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Between India and Vietnam Reviewed

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vietnam's Prime Minister Le Minh Hung reviewed the status of the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in May 2026.

The review noted significant advances in defence cooperation, including joint naval exercises and technology transfers. In the economic sphere, trade volumes have risen steadily, driven by growing fintech collaborations and joint ventures in the mining sector.

Both leaders underscored the necessity of a coordinated stance on global challenges such as pandemic preparedness and supply‑chain resilience. They also pledged to expand cooperation in education, tourism, and renewable energy.

The session ended with a commitment to hold regular high‑level dialogues and to involve private sector stakeholders in shaping the next phase of the partnership.
