Community Celebration Recognizes Service of Indian Ex‑Servicemen and Families

The Greater Seattle Indian community came together on July 12 for a community‑wide celebration honoring former Indian armed forces personnel and their families. The event, organized by the Indian Mission and the local consulate, aimed to showcase the continued societal impact of veterans who, even after retirement, remain active in community leadership, youth mentoring and cultural preservation. Several veterans expressed that this was the first occasion of its kind in the region, appreciating the chance to reconnect with peers and receive public recognition from the Indian diplomatic presence.
