China’s Trade with Over 180 Nations Hits New Peak
Customs officials report that China’s overseas commerce now spans more than 180 countries and regions, reflecting a widening network of partners. The aggregate import‑export value of 399.4 billion yuan for 2026’s first three quarters represents an 18.8 percent increase over the same timeframe last year.
The trade volume surged 15.3 percent in Q1, 18.3 percent in Q2, and accelerated to 22.3 percent in Q3. Monthly data have shown a steady streak of double‑digit growth for six months, with September breaking the 50 billion yuan barrier at 51.6 billion yuan.
Wang Qun noted that the current growth rate is the highest recorded for the first three quarters in the past five years, signaling a durable upswing. China continues to dominate global merchandise trade, outpacing all other major economies.
