China is set to display its latest weaponry at a military parade in Beijing, with leaders from Russia, Iran, and North Korea in attendance. The parade, marking the 80th anniversary of China’s victory over Japan and the end of World War II, will feature thousands of Chinese soldiers marching alongside new and modern arms. This show of force is viewed by some as a challenge to American military dominance. Among the attendees will be Chinese President Xi Jinping, along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Approximately 26 countries are expected to send leaders to the event. Defense experts have been analyzing photos of the rehearsals, which have revealed anti-ship missiles, high-tech underwater drones, and anti-missile systems. These weapons are anticipated to be showcased on September 3rd near Tiananmen Square in Beijing. While Chinese officials have kept the exact list of displayed weapons confidential, military experts have identified several key pieces of equipment. Rumors also circulate about the inclusion of a massive laser weapon system. The Chinese military asserts that all defense equipment has been manufactured domestically and is currently in active service. The parade will feature several advanced weapon systems.
