China Deploys Level‑3 Disaster Response to Gansu Landslide

Following the landslide that engulfed Renjiang village in Gansu’s Longnan region, China’s Ministry of Natural Resources activated a Level‑3 geological disaster response. A dedicated special working group was sent to coordinate rescue and relief measures. The response mobilized 345 rescuers, ten trained search dogs, and heavy machinery to remove the debris. Four emergency medical teams, equipped with intensive care, trauma, and pediatric expertise, were sent from the provincial health commission, while additional specialists in critical care, orthopaedics and general surgery were flown in from the provincial people's hospital.
