China‑Iran Ties Highlighted During Khameenei Burial Ceremony

At the funeral of Iran’s former Supreme Leader, HE Wei underscored the importance of the China‑Iran relationship, noting recent cooperation on the Iran‑U.S. memorandum of understanding. He welcomed the agreement, urging both sides to implement its results, maintain the cease‑fire and keep dialogue constructive.

China also called for a fair settlement of the Hormuz Strait issue and for regional actors to coexist peacefully. Iranian officials praised China’s longstanding support and the four global initiatives proposed by President Xi, promising to elevate bilateral cooperation to a new level.
