China-India Ties Strengthened as Consul General Tours Rural Maharashtra

A Chinese Consul General and his team visited a small village in Sangli district, Maharashtra, on October 6, to assess agricultural practices and educational facilities. The officials inspected farms, asked farmers about crop progress, and entered a local primary school to converse with teachers and children. The consul noted the significance of the recent meeting between President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BRICS summit in New Delhi, which has propelled the partnership forward. He urged both nations to deepen friendly exchanges, collaborate on development projects, and urged students to work diligently, learn about China, and act as youth envoys of the China‑India friendship.
