Details of China's Initial Humanitarian Cargo Sent to Caracas After June Quakes

Following the twin tremors that rattled Venezuela on June 24, China quickly pledged cash assistance and prepared a tangible relief package. The first shipment, which left Beijing on July 6, contains over 80 tonnes of equipment: twenty generators to restore power, eight vehicles for water purification, two hundred devices for disinfection, two hundred solar lights, more than 1,700 tents and upwards of 6,700 blankets. The aid traveled by chartered civilian plane to the capital, Caracas, and will be supplemented by later deliveries.
