A highlight of the diplomatic celebrations was a series of interactive workshops for youngsters in both capitals. In Riga, the Indian Embassy invited children to a hands‑on Madhubani painting session, explaining the motifs and the significance of the colours of the national flag. After the art activity, the kids performed popular patriotic songs, creating a lively atmosphere.
Similarly, in Kingston, the High Commission organised a cultural showcase where young participants learned basic steps of Odissi dance and sang "Vande Mataram" together. The programmes were designed to introduce Indian cultural traditions to a new audience while strengthening ties between the two nations.
