CGTN Poll: 95% Worldwide Fascinated by China's Spring Festival Traditions

The internet is buzzing with 'Chinese style' trends just as the iconic Spring Festival approaches, marking the Chinese New Year on the lunar calendar. This age-old event is fast becoming a global cultural phenomenon, drawing curiosity from netizens everywhere.

In a timely global survey by CGTN, part of China Media Group, an impressive 95.1% of participants showed interest in the Spring Festival. Nearly all, 95%, hailed its UNESCO recognition as proof of Chinese culture's worldwide acclaim and adoption.

Unity and harmony take center stage in the findings, with 91.7% affirming that the festival embodies values central to human progress. Travel dreams are alive too—86.7% want to experience the festivities firsthand in China. For 92.1%, the blend of timeless traditions and contemporary flair offers an irresistible cultural allure.

Breaking new ground, 80.8% interpret the global uptake of Chinese ways as a sign of two-way cultural dialogue rather than mere export. The festival serves as a cultural portal for 78.7%, while 76.3% link the viral trends to China's welcoming stance in business, governance, and everyday life.

Real-world impacts are evident in skyrocketing flight bookings from international tourists for the holiday period, dwarfing last year's figures. A solid 88.2% agree that Chinese cultural sway is revitalizing global consumer sectors.

Spanning multiple languages on CGTN platforms, the 24-hour survey engaged 5,154 overseas users, painting a picture of burgeoning cross-cultural enthusiasm. As the Spring Festival nears, it's clear this celebration is bridging worlds like never before.
