Canada has secured a US$33 billion investment for the second phase of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. Officials claim the financing could propel Canada into the world’s five largest LNG exporters within the next five years.
The initiative dovetails with India’s projected 70 percent rise in energy consumption by 2035, positioning Canadian LNG as a key import source for Indian power generators and industrial users.
Alongside LNG, Canada is also eyeing collaborations in critical minerals and aerospace, reinforcing its role as a dependable partner for India’s expanding resource needs.
