Bushar Airport Infrastructure Severely Damaged in Recent American Attack, Officials Claim

Iranian authorities reported that the Bushar airport, a key gateway in the southwest, has been rendered inoperable after a sequence of U.S. strikes aimed at maritime navigation routes. Spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani described the damage as extensive, noting that the airstrip, control tower and ancillary buildings must be rebuilt from scratch. She highlighted that a newly overhauled aircraft, bought to serve the public, was hit by a missile and left with only a small rear section. The statement also mentioned that the Bushar meteorological centre—a civilian establishment—has been almost entirely wiped out in the attacks. Iran emphasized the broader impact on civilian infrastructure, while confirming that the local nuclear power plant suffered no harm.
