Broad‑Gauge Coach Deal Worth 1.2 Trillion BDT Finalized Between Bangladesh Railway and RITES

Bangladesh Railway and Indian state‑owned RITES Limited signed a contract worth approximately 1,205.54 crore Bangladeshi taka for the purchase of 200 broad‑gauge passenger coaches. The financing is a joint effort by the Bangladesh government and the European Investment Bank, which will fund about 1,331 crore taka of the total cost.
