Brazil signals openness for negotiations ahead of G20 ministerial

During the upcoming G20 ministers’ gathering, Brazil plans to raise the tariff issue on the agenda and request a constructive dialogue with Washington. Minister Rosa told reporters that "the path for talks is open" and that Brazil will defend the concerns of its industry, companies and employees while keeping diplomatic channels active. He reiterated Brazil’s commitment to multilateralism and warned that unilateral tariff hikes threaten the stability of the bilateral trade relationship. The minister added that any resolution must respect the principles of fair competition and avoid escalating into a broader trade conflict.
