Bombing at Government School in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Causes Extensive Damage

In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwestern Pakistan, terrorists bombed a government secondary school, causing significant damage to the building. According to official sources, the attack occurred in the Karabag area of the Barmal tehsil in the South Waziristan district. Several rooms and the perimeter wall of the school were damaged. There were no reported casualties in the attack. Police sources indicate that the recent increase in unrest in the area has created an atmosphere of fear, severely disrupting educational activities. In related incidents, three bridges were damaged by explosions carried out by terrorists, affecting the Wana-Azam Warsak highway and causing significant difficulties for the public. Local residents have expressed deep concern over these events and urged the government to launch an immediate investigation and enhance security measures. Prior to this incident, on June 6, unknown individuals detonated explosives at a government secondary school building in the Akbari village of the Gul Imam police station area in Tank district, damaging several classrooms. A splinter group of the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Tank district opposes girls' education and typically targets schools.
